For the Intermediate class, I’d like you to open an account on these 3 platforms to facilitate understanding of the Intermediate class:

Firstly, I would like you to open a Proton Mail account. Proton mail works like Gmail but is 10 times safer. This means this email is almost un-hackable therefore store your password SAFELY. This will be your Cryptocurrency email. You shall use it to open the accounts I mention below and any other you might decide to open in the future.

Please NOTE : Ensure to always create a strong password, save the password on a notebook, don’t use the same password for any of your accounts and please remember, in the world of Crypto, your passwords are life. If you lose them, you can lose access to your money! Most passwords are not retrievable, so PLEASE RECORD THEM OFFLINE and SAFELY!

Secondly, you’ll be opening 2 other accounts. These accounts are exchange platforms used to buy Cryptocurrency in Kenya. I personally use and recommend them. They are also multifunctional and I’ll be sharing ways you can leverage them in the class. Below are affiliate links you can use to open your accounts with. Please do so as soon as you can.

Please Note: Binance requires Facial verification and ID submission to acquire access to the Peer to Peer Trading Platform which we purchase our Cryptocurrency from. Kindly, create an account and apply for it immediately, to be verified faster.

Finally, you will download a mobile wallet. This wallet will help you understand prior, the difference between private keys and public keys. (We dealt on this briefly in the Beginner class). For the class, I will be using the D’cent Mobile App Wallet. 

Follow the steps below CAREFULLY: (Let the Images attached below guide you.)

1. Go to Play Store or App Store and search D’cent Wallet.
2. Download the App and once you open it, click “Try App Wallet.”
3. Immediately after, key in a 6 (number password!) Please note this down somewhere. As it shall be the password you use to access the app.
4. Now you have set up your D’cent wallet. You’ll be directed to the home page.
5. On the home page, you’ll see a notification at the top stating, “Please backup your original App Wallet.”
6. Kindly, DON’T CLICK IT. I would like to delve into it during the class.
